Haha it may seem like I am doing an add here, I am not. It's just this dentist office has always wowed me and my son, Malaki, and little sister, Elisabeth love going! How many people do you know who love the dentist?!
Just walking in you can see that this a kid friendly place with an old west play house set and paintings on the walls. They even have a kiddie toilet in the bath room!
Today was Malaki's first teeth exrays and he did so great, I am sure part of that is due to thw great staff! They really know how to make kids feel at ease.
My sister enjoys going first so she can set the example for Malaki. She looks so at ease here as she waits for her teeth to be cleaned.
But then again she is laying there watching a show on the ceiling!
As Malaki waits his turn he practices his oral hygiene on stuffed animals with teeth!
They are just super cute!
Malaki is as content as can be as he watches the cartoon on the ceiling. So much so that he did not want to be done!
Each kid is given a new toothbrush of their choice, Malaki chose a Monster Ink. One that he was very excited about.
The dentist has the kids smiling all the while even if its bad news, Malaki has a few cavities and will be going in for some work on his teeth.
Always entertained, Here is yet another example of the amazing kid atmosphere they have these fun touch games to keep kids busy as moms talk with the dentist or wait their turn.
Then off they are sent with a Balloon in one hand and a little book in the other, rather it be a board book for the younger kids or a chapter book for the older ones.
Than a traditional icecream from grandma.
Boy a visit to the Dentist is more like a day out when you have such fun! I feel there should be more places like this for kids, a fun doctor? Or an amazing eye doctor place. Having places like this puts kids at ease, teaching them that this type of thing is not something they need to fear. HECK! I Want a place like this for me as an adult the stress levels would be so much less when we have to go in.
In a world were everything seems so serious, black and white and rushed maybe it would be nice to have more places take in thought like they do for children. In the childrens clinics around here they have paintings on the walls and bright colors to make it fun for kids, perhaps its time for adults to have the same as well with bright painints on the walls or peaceful settings less white and blinding that is associated with fear of hospitals.
- Energy of a place matters! Make your engery count!
