First scary movie of the season

So i dont do scary movies, not tge ones that are all blood and gore, the ones i like end up having a logical explanation or not so scary ending. Like the clasic "The others" or "Watchers in the woods" most would not even be scared by the movies i watch but then i hate to be scared! Haha not haunted mansions or freaky things for me. But then whats really funny is some things dont scare me like ghosts/ spirits, i guess i have spent my whole life knowing and seeing these that when people try to scare me with ghosts i just laugh because i have seen these and know there is nothing to be afraid of. Yet you place a spider where i am npt expecting or put on a mask and i am out of there! And dont get me started on clowns! No thank you! Yet i love to make Halloween treats and i love the holiday! I love every thing about fall!
So tonight I made blood soaked popcorn to eat during the movie! Its my papa's recipe and i just love it! The Recipe is Jello popcorn balls and they can be used for any occasion in my home we have them a few times a month.

For mine i use.

3 oz jello any flavor
1 cup sugar
1 cup light Karo syrup
Air popped popcorn ( 1/2 cup cernals is about the right amount)

Place in medium pot bring to boil stiring constantly  till to a hard crack candy. Tip if you if you do not have a candy thermometer like me fill a small bowl with cool water and drop small amount in there let set for a moment and then pull the candy out should be hard and not stick to your teeth. After you get the right candy hardness slowly add to you pre popped popcorn ( to mqke it not stick to your bowl and for easier clean up prespray your bowl with pam before popping popcorn) stir in candy careful very hot.

For blood use a red jello and add to the mixture 10 drops red food color and 5 green.
And thats it a yummy treat!
